Centro is an artist-run initiative based in Lisbon’s Beato neighborhood that aims to engage critically with the contemporary art world and support ambitious projects—whether artistic, literary, or theoretical—that contribute to the interrogation of anthropocentric ways of seeing. The interdisciplinary programming consists of workshops, discussions, exhibitions, and performances.

Elise Love-McCorkle

Elise Love-McCorkle (b.1994) grew up in Texas and studied Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin. Her visual work has been exhibited in Lisbon, London, and Mexico City and published in SAND Journal, and her written work has been published in Poet Lore.
